Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure all engineering work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice, Health and Safety legislation and current Company Standards.
  • To work across mechanical and electrical trades as qualified and authorised.
  • Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs of process equipment and plant equipment and site services.
  • Liase with the Planning Manager on the daily workload to ensure priorities are understood and correct resource is allocated in an efficient manner. 
  • Support, train and coach relevant employees in all aspects of shared maintenance.
  • To work with or lead CI initiatives to improve Production processes.
  • Ensure in depth handovers to oncoming shift to include Engineering, Stores.
  • Proactive involve in project work and change management processes.
  • Decisions made within the Electricity at Work act and site Electrical Code of Practice (ECOPS).
  • Managing contractors to ensure relevant standards are met with due regard to safety, hygiene and quality.



  • Engineering City and Guilds or HNC (Mechanical bias)
  • Min 3 years experience as a skilled engineering craftsperson or technician.
  • Practical experience gained within engineering function


  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)
  • Dual Electrical/Mechanical apprenticeship
  • Multi skilled HNC (Dual-skilled)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Electrical)
