Job Purpose


To ensure accurate loading, picking and despatching of daily sales orders to meet all customer requirements on time and in full. You will be required to perform these duties whilst minimizing costs, providing excellent customer service, adhering to the Allied Bakeries Site Standards and helping to drive forward the Safety First message.

Health & Safety

 To lead by example and demonstrate the Safety First attitude and approach.

 To follow all safety procedures including risk assessments, safe systems of work, correct wearing of PPE and other specific safety instructions relevant to the task being carried out.

 To adhere to all Site Standards including legislative requirements.

 Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.

 To ensure all safety concerns are reported and that any Hazards and faults are followed up.

Cost

 Achieving all performance targets set i.e. picking rate and downtime.

 Generate ideas for improving operations which could potentially save time and money

 Ensure care is taken whilst using any company equipment.

Quality

 Awareness of the Company Quality Assurance System and your responsibility to adhere to the procedures.

 To actively contribute to the site standards and all internal and external audits.

 To pick, load and despatch daily sales orders to meet all customer requirements on time and in full

 Follow instruction, guidance and training given at all times

Key Accountabilities

 To operate within work instructions, risk assessments (RA), Safe systems of work (SSOW) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP’s)

 To ensure accurate picking, assembly and loading of products to the right vehicle.

 To minimise damage to product, removing and replacing any products with visual damage ensuring customer receives a quality product.

 To maintain daily stock rotation.

 To alert the Line Manager of any shortages or issues affecting customer orders.

 To meet, contribute and accurately record the Key Performance Indicator’s as required

 To work individually and as part of a team to meet distribution deadlines.

 To maintain a clean and a safe environment adhering to "Clean As You Go" Policy, meeting the agreed standards in hygiene and housekeeping.

 As required, to ensure the efficient and safe use of Fork Lift Trucks and other MHE (Manual Handling Equipment), adhering to internal procedures for maintenance and use.

 Reporting of defects or potential hazards to immediate Supervisor / Manager in a prompt and timely manner

 To report faults to immediate supervisor, Use of the EAM system where applicable.

 Follow instruction, training, procedures and guidelines set out by site / department.
