There is currently an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Despatch Operative to join our Despatch team at Allied Bakeries, Stoke on a permanent contract.

The Role:

Reporting directly into the site Logistics FLM (Front Line Manager), the Despatch Operative role involves product receipt, loading & unloading of vehicles, order picking, product allocation and fork lift truck driving to ensure that orders are despatched in an accurate and timely manner.
Please note the shifts are  based on 12 hours on a rota of 4 on 4 off [days and nights].

Key Responsibilities:

•To improve and maintain a safe working environment. To be fully aware and comply with all Health and Safety standards, company and legal requirements.
•To ensure all customers receive full & accurate orders.
•To minimise damage.
•To maintain the quality of the product by employing high standards of stock rotation at all times in order to protect the brand.
•Meet distribution deadlines & productivities.
•Employ clean as you go principles and maintaining site standards.

Skills / Experience:

•Team Player, punctual and reliable

•Experience of working in a fast paced environment
•Strong communication skills
•Positive enthusiastic approach
•Significant experience in a warehouse environment
•Ability to drive a fork lift truck essential
•Experience of working with a voice picking system an advantage
