The UK Grocery Group is a collection of businesses with the common aim of providing UK and International consumers with food products that meet their needs. These businesses manufacture and sell branded and own label grocery products spanning multiple product categories and customer bases, and recognisable brands include Pataks curry sauces, Jordans cereals, Elephant Atta flour, Kingsmill bread and Silver Spoon sugar.
Our businesses operate as distinct business units, and have grown significantly in recent years through the strategies developed and implemented by our Managing Directors and their local executive teams. We now have a combined turnover of more than £1.2bn, with 7,000 employees across 30 sites in the UK.
A number of the businesses have decided to work together to implement a common new ERP system – Microsoft Dynamics 365. A cross business implementation team has been established to help design the global template for the new system, and then support each business in their specific implementation of that new ERP system. The project is anticipated to last up to 24 months to implement the new ERP system into the initial businesses and we are looking for a Testing Specialist to join the team for 24 months.
We are looking for an experienced Testing Manager, for a fixed term of 24 months, to lead our testing process through the creation and execution of testing standards, policies and procedures across all project lifecycle phases and the delivery of approved projects to customers within the agreed timescales and scope.
Demonstrating clear leadership, you will have the ability to lead multi-discipline teams in the delivery of approved testing procedures and projects, on-time to budget. We will be looking for you to formulate test strategies for projects in conjunction with all stakeholders. You will produce site acceptance and integration test plans in accordance with standards as agreed with Project Managers and ensure that all phases of testing are integrated and that full coverage is achieved, managing test result with the key business stakeholders.
Experienced in project delivery you will be able to clearly define the deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for the project and ensure the project is delivered within the financial requirements of the company.
Essentially you will have a good understanding of testing techniques and processes, including practical testing experience with good influencing skills and end to end experience of the project lifecycle. With a good understanding of project methodologies (e.g.PRINCE2 or equivalent) and MS Project and project planning if you have certification in software testing at ISEB Foundation certificate level or higher, the better.
