Key Accountabilities

  • Safety First!  To support and comply with all Health and Safety standards
  • To be accountable for all stock, non-stock & contract requirements which should be managed in line with the agreed engineering procurement procedures 
  • The monitoring and measuring of supplier service levels, providing detailed metrics to relevant personnel & functions in a timely manner and engage in regular reviews of supplier service level performance using KPI’s generated from the EAM system
  • To Lead at site level and to work with central/regional procurement in order to ensure all agreed strategies & initiatives are enforced and compliance recorded
  • Direct reports to supply KPI’s for the engineering stores & procurement function; to pursue improvements & cost savings via the analysis of such information
  • Direct reports to supply information on the management and transaction of the invoice matching process as required by AB finance.  To ensure that any mismatches are resolved in a timely manner
  • To report and advise on the Engineering Budget Spend and fully Liaise with Finance department in connection with all financial tracking for the engineering department
  • To Be accountable for Compliance to planned preventive maintenance schedules
  • To Be Accountable for Weekly success rate of 100% priority 1’s
  • Individual craftsmen weekly job completion of 100%
  • Statutory Inspection compliance via Planned Maintenance System

    Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum HNC, City and Guilds or equivalent
  • Understanding of the requirements of Health and Safety Regulations/Legislation directly relating to engineering
  • A good understanding of engineering purchasing with an understanding of P&L
  • Project engineering and strong PC Literacy to include Microsoft Office
  • Analytical approach to problem solving and numerate 
  • The ability to take a logical approach to decision making
  • Team Player
  • Competent and confident communication skills
  • The ability to learn new skills and develop personally
  • The ability to demonstrate wider business understanding
  • Experience
  • Ideally 5 years’ experience following the completion of a multi skilled apprenticeship.
    Ideally 5 years’ experience gained in a maintenance planning role
    Ideally 5 years’ experience in the management of a large engineering stores
    Ideally 5 years’ experience of engineering purchasing, invoicing and profit and loss
    Skills and Knowledge
  • Specific understanding of the requirements of Health and Safety Regulations/Legislation directly relating to engineering.
  • Project Engineering to include aspects of lean manufacturing
  • Computer skills with a minimum of intermediate Excel and Word
  • Presentation skills
  • Mechanical and Electrical engineering
