Speedibake has bakery sites in Wakefield and Bradford specialising in own-label baked goods, we supply to a customer base across all channels; foodservice wholesalers, contract catering, end users, export and retail.

We are on a journey to transform training within our Bakeries and we need your expertise to ensure that staff at all levels gain and develop the skills needed to carry out their role effectively.

This is an exciting new role that will report into the Supply Chain HR Business Partner.

As a Training Coordinator you will work collaboratively with the Bakery site management teams to manage and plan the training and development of staff on site. You will also have responsibility for 2 site manufacturing trainers across the Wakefield / Bradford sites

To be successful, you will:

  • Execute the Education and Training plan to ensure that all employees have access to and are fully compliant in all mandatory and operational training

  • Design, plan and organising the delivery of training in specific areas of legal compliance and/or audit to the agreed standards

  • Compiling and maintaining training needs analysis, training records, skills matrix and identifying skills gap. Informing Line Managers about progress against the plan.

  • Liaising with external training providers, gaining agreement on training outcomes and costs, and facilitating external providers whilst on site.

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of bespoke training in response to business needs e.g. Front Line Manager and train the trainer workshops.

  • Govern compliance training for new starters and refresher training for existing employees within the Leadership, Manufacturing and Front Line Managers teams.

  • Working with the ABF Grocery Group Apprenticeship Talent Officer in supporting the growth and governance of apprenticeship programmes across Speedibake

  • Overall responsibility for the training budget

    Skills & Experience:

  • Certificate in Training Practice qualification, or equivalent

  • Energised individual who ideally has demonstrable experience of working within FMCG or a similar fast paced environment.

  • Level 4 Food Safety (Desirable - successful candidate must be prepared to be trained at this level to deliver appropriate training)

  • Level 4 HACCP (Desirable - successful candidate must be prepared to be trained at this level to deliver appropriate training)

  • Apprenticeship levy understanding

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience within training and development, including the design and delivery of training as well as management of training plans and programs

  • Experience of working with diverse teams.

  • Enthusiastic, resilient and adaptable to change
