The Role:

Managing the IS risk register and overseeing security and compliance initiatives, this position is a stakeholder facing role (AMB, ABF and external), and requires the individual to establish and manage expectations both  internally and externally.  Providing management and guidance to ensure the control and review of the data security control processes and policies defined by ABF, you will ensure the security processes and policies are reviewed, verified and actions identified on a regular basis

Key Activities:

  • Delivery and maintenance of the IS risk register including the monitoring of mitigating controls

  • Primary point of contact responsible for scheduling and management of external  and internal Audits providing support and assistance with the deliverables for identified actions.

  • Provide control and guidance for the contractual management of the support agreements with suppliers providing services for the application portfolio.

  • Provide guidance and compliance assurance in regard to GDPR for IT services and contracts.

  • Engage with Legal when needed to ensure contractual agreements are updated and maintained when and if required.

  • Manage the  review and update of contracts and relevant agreements are performed as per recommended periodic intervals

  • Provide internal process compliance services to documented processes within IT


Key Skills and Experiences:

  • Good understanding of  best practice frameworks E.g. ITIL, Prince 2, COBIT

  • A good understanding of security and governance frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ISO27001/2)

  • The ability to understand new standards and legislation quickly and identify how this could impact IS and the wider business

  • Possesses a good knowledge of security and legislative requirements

  • Has high quality oral communication and written skills,

  • A good level of experience in a similar role.

  • Proven capability to work independently whilst managing and prioritising own workload.

  • Reliable and flexible team player able to engage others
