The accountabilities undertaken by the Manufacturing Technician (MT) are varied, spanning production, engineering, quality and hygiene. The MT has clear, measurable accountabilities, with certain routine and repeatabe actions taken every day. You are responsible for the shift’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in your area, and will be expected to work with other team members in that area to ensure that standards are maintained. You will also understand activities upstream and downstream from your area so that you can take steps to influence actions taken in other parts of the plant in order to achieve the best overall result for the shift.
The successful applicants will have previously worked in an environment where they have demonstrated basic engineering competencies and they will have an understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques.With a good level of Health & Food Safety Awareness, applicants will also be computer literate and ideally would have previously used HMI screens. The ability to read, record and interpret data is essential.
A knowledge of the baking process would be advantageous but not essential.
