There is currently an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Bakery Operatives to join our Manufacturing team at Allied Bakeries, Stoke. 

So who are we?  We're the people who make one of the UK’s top grocery brands, Kingsmill, as well as Burgen, Allinson and Sunblest. You know us through our wholesome white, wholemeal and seeded breads that offer delicious bakery products such as our rolls, pancakes, crumpets, muffins, hot cross buns, toasties and wraps.

We're one of three divisions of Allied Milling and Baking, which in turn is a part of Associated British Foods (ABF) plc, a major international business with a turnover of £10.2bn and close to 100,000 employees working in 44 countries. In the UK, well-known ABF brands include: Twinings, Silver Spoon, Primark, Ryvita, Ovaltine, Patak's and Jordans Cereals.

The Role:

Working a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights based at our Stoke site you will be working an average of 42 hours a week.

Safety is First at Allied Bakeries, so we're looking for someone to lead by example in ensuring that Health and Safety is our number one priority, and someone who is able to think and behave safely at all times.

The Stoke site is an integral part of our success within the bread industry and produces a wide variety of loaves and buns including seeded and fruit lines alongside our crust away, wholemeal, 50/50 and little big loaf varieties. We are now looking for Bakery Operatives to join the our team and to continue building on our success.

We don't need you to be an expert in manufacturing; we can teach you that bit. What we do need is your passion and enthusiasm. Still interested? Something to keep in mind is that our production lines work day and night, so you'll need to be flexible and be able to work our shift pattern. Shifts are 12 hours in length.

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment is desirable

Ability to work to a high standard to ensure site quality and safety standards are met

Drive for results and enthusiasm and determination to meet required standards

Desire to develop and progress own skills and experience

Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and complex environment
