As a key member of the central HR Team, you will provide an effective, tactical HR service to your customers through the use of contemporary HR practices.
Supporting the two Heads of HR across Commercial, Allied Technical Centre and Operations, you will have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of people activities, including business wide projects.
•Providing support, coaching and training to line managers in the recruitment, selection and on boarding of employees
•Supporting line managers with employee relation activities including grievance and disciplinary meetings and appeals both at Maidenhead and in the regions
•Working with line managers to consistently manage attendance using the occupational health resource as and when necessary
•Coaching and supporting line managers in all performance management issues, including the Impact Conversation process
•Ensure systems are in place to ensure that employee’s questions, complaints and concerns are dealt with directly in a quick, fair and consistent manner
•Lead the Graduate recruitment, on boarding, development and hold regular one to ones working closely with the Graduate Recruitment Manager, Business Sponsors and Mentors
•Implement and manage the roll out of local and national initiatives and projects
Experience and Qualifications:
•Ideally CIPD qualified or part qualified; educated to degree level or equivalent with a proven track record in delivering best practice generalist HR, ideally in an FMCG business
•Credibility in advising customers on all HR issues with the ability to influence effectively
•Self-motivated with passion, enthusiasm, tenacity and resilience
•Good analytical ability and critical reasoning, combined with pragmatic implementation and the ability to use sound judgment when situations are not ‘black and white’
