To follow safety procedures as written by Allied Bakeries including risk assessments, safe systems of work, correct wearing of PPE and other specific safety instructions relevant to the task being carriedout.
To lead by example and demonstrate safety first through following guidelines.
Ensure individual compliance with all statutory regulations and legislation regarding Health & Safety
Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
Awareness of COSHH regulations and the safe use of chemicals
To contribute and be an active member of the Safety First team
To report Hazards/Near Misses and faults to assist in the prevention of accidents.
Generate ideas for improving cleaning techniques which could potentially save time and money
To ensure that cleaning chemicals are used at the correct dilution rate.
Ensure that cleaning equipment is maintained in good condition
To ensure that the completion of cleaning tasks are delivered to the desired standard
Follow instruction, guidance and training given at all times
Share best practice through cross functional workingand adopt learning’s in to the daily role
Demonstrate pride and passion, great working environment producing quality site standards
Provide a high standard of work, assisting departments cross functionally

Assist colleagues as appropriate and share best practice
Reporting of Hazards/Near Misses and faults to assist in the prevention of accidents.
Identifying areas that have a potential associated risk to food safety and raise and action accordingly.
Assisting manufacturing in reduction of waste and the removal of bakery and returns waste.
Replenishment and cleaning of facilities / stock checks and reporting.
To be flexible as mobility of labour is required for this role.
Work alongside the pest control technician to minimize the likelihood of pest activity.
Ability to learn and verify CIP cleaning systems.
Water, air and contact plates testing.
Segregation of waste.
FLT driving may be required (full training will be given).
Achieve the level of Basic Food Hygiene.
Be able to use basic hygiene equipment required to carry out the job role (floor scrubbers, jet washers etc, training will be provided).
Ensure all areas detailed by the job card are cleaned according to Company standards.
Any other duties which reasonably correspond to the general character of the role.
