Quality Auditor

We have an opportunity for an additional Quality Auditor to join our small Technical team at our Glasgow site.  Here at Allied Bakeries we are proud of our state of the art manufacturing plant and of our high calibre people.  This is an exciting time to join the team as we prepare for launching a new product line this year and continue to develop as a Winning Team.

The Role & Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality standards and customer satisfaction through process monitoring, auditing, assessing and analysing.  You will work collaboratively with colleagues in other departments up to senior management level.

• Monitor :

o adherence to relevant procedures & practices.
o site control points related to process control, QACCP & HACCP studies
o plant & processes

• Support:

o advice to production staff on technical issues.
o delivery of technical training
o NPD projects
o quality improvement through department checks, initiatives & QAS assessment system

• Assess & Analyse:

o product and organoleptic testing on finished product quality including texture, moisture and cell analysis.
o daily weight information and ensure any corrective actions required are carried out
o daily control of all sampling regimes internal & external

• Audit:

o participate in internal audit programme

Essential Skills & Behaviours

While previous experience within a Lab/QA or Technical role ideally within FMCG category is highly desirable, the undernoted are essential.

• Food science based qualification at NC or above
• HACCP & food hygiene certified
• Willingness and ability to apply continuous learning
• Able to demonstrate resilience and energy
• Contributes to Winning Team ethos
• Accountable and reliable
• Keen eye for detail
• Can prioritise, organise and manage own time and work load
• Fully competent in Microsoft office to include Word, Excel and Outlook
