Our IS team based out of our Shared Service Centre in Liverpool have a great opportunity for an experienced IT Service Delivery Manager to join the team.  This is a newly created leadership role within an established team acting as the bridge between IS and the production environment and also as the bridge between IS and the user community.  The role oversees a number of key functions within the IS department that enable the delivery of a high quality service to end users, and to ensure Service Support and Service Delivery processes are in place to meet business needs.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Dev Ops this is a stakeholder facing role, and requires the individual to establish and manage expectations both internal and external to IS and drive the IS team to achieve those expectations to a high standard. 

Responsible for the ownership of Incident, Request, Change, Release and Communication Processes ensuring high levels of performance in these processes you will lead the Technical Support team in the delivery of their objectives.

 

Key Skills and Experiences

Essential to this role is the deep understanding of ITIL and Service process and the ability to apply it in real situations via the ITIL framework; it is expected that you will  possess a good knowledge of application packages within other organisations and a sound understanding of infrastructure and application support within an IS environment.
 
You will have strong organisational and relationship building skills coupled with excellent communication skills.  Happy to work independently you will have the flair to manage changing priorities for yourself and your team to deliver end results.
 
More importantly than qualifications, you will have had strong experience in similar roles and the ability to understand technical information and learn key points quickly and be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of ITIL and Service process and the ability to apply it in real situations via the ITIL framework.

Allied Bakeries operates 24/7 across the UK therefore a flexibility in approach and a willingness to travel is required (driving licence essential).
