Position: Team Member Hygiene 

The Role:      

As a skilled hygiene team member working across the site hygiene & pest control operations, you will be responsible for effective and efficient deep cleaning/ pest control in line with the Company’s standards and procedures, whilst maintaining a safe, clean and food safe/ pest- free environment.

Key Accountabilities:
•  To take responsibility for the efficient operation of your area, cleaning to agreed standards and frequencies (as per SOP) whilst maintaining pest free conditions within your sphere of control. Employing all necessary controls in accordance with site food safety, Health & Safety and environmental management systems and procedures.
•  To assist in audit & review of your Hygiene SOP’s and cleaning effectiveness, in liaison with hygiene supervisor/ manager & ATM.
•  To maintain your designated work area in a hygienic, pest-free condition, in a safe manner, and reporting major faults on (EAM), etc.
•  To carry out visual PM checks on your designated work area and equipment, in line with procedures and alerting any problems to the Engineers.
•  Demonstrate your responsibilities in adhering to ABSS standards and actively contribute to these standards, respecting internal and external audits.
•  Follow all instructions, guidance and training given at all times, sharing best practice through cross functional working and adopting what is learnt into the daily routine/role.
•  To contribute as part of a team in assisting to meet the departments key performance indicators and to act outside of the daily schedule and focus on areas for improvement to hygiene, deep cleaning, pest control, efficiency or cost.



•  To have previous experience in a hygiene role or of working in a FMCG organisation

•  An ability to achieve Basic Food Hygiene, pest awareness and HACCP qualifications

•  Willing to work shifts including nights and weekends



•  A current Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

•  HACCP Awareness

•  An understanding and application of key elements of the Allied Bakeries Site Standards (ABSS)

•  Understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques
