The role:


An essential member of the site team you will be responsible for carrying out hygiene activities and procedures to achieve high levels of cleanliness of plant, equipment and infrastructure utilising SOP’s to deliver the Allied Bakeries Site Standards and specific customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

•Actively engage in the Safety First culture and compliance with AB internal policies and procedures;


•Deliver optimal levels of Hygiene performance on cost, resource, schedule completion and levels of cleanliness by utilising CI tools and techniques;


•To continuously challenge and improve hygiene activities and processes and encourage others to do the same;


•To actively participate and contribute to the optimisation of cross-functional working processes and procedures, which will enable bakery infrastructure standards to be maintained or improved;


•To take ownership and responsibility for the efficient execution of your designated, scheduled and ad hoc hygiene tasks, whilst ensuring that these are carried out within the correct time scale and to the required standard;


•To prepare plant and equipment for hygiene activities using SSOW and equipment lock off procedures to ensure activities are carried out in a safe manner. If needed to perform minor maintenance repairs, reporting major faults on the Mainsaver system (EAM).


•To carry out visual Hygiene and Food Safety checks on all plant and equipment after cleaning, recording in line with procedures and acting on any problems accordingly with Manufacturing or Engineers.


•Demonstrate your responsibilities in adhering to Allied Bakeries Site Standards and actively contribute to these standards, respecting internal and external audits.


•Identify areas of possible product contamination or potential risk to food safety (HACCP e.g. tailings) and raise and action accordingly, informing your Front Line Manager if you are unable to resolve the issue.

 Skills/Experience:


•An in-depth understanding and application of the Hygiene SOP’s;


•Basic Food Hygiene Certificate;


•Knowledge of Hygiene methodologies and application of hygiene chemicals.


•To have previous manufacturing FMCG experience


•Experience of working in a high volume manufacturing environment and working in a physically demanding environment
